At the start of the year, Romar celebrated the tenth release on his label Bleu Ciel. With a decade of artistry behind him, the French producer has been championing the platform alongside another – RORA. The back catalogue features plenty of his own, as well as a host of artists like Rinaldo Makaj, Cosmjn, Iuly.B and Priku providing serious bits for the Swiss-based label. Costas is next up to join the roster.
For a while now he has been serving up rolling grooves shrouded in atmospheric melodies directly from the shores of Spain. Receiving recent playtime from the ever deep and eclectic Cocoon leading lady Danah Ruh, Costas’ own label is now on its first vinyl only. RORA offers residence for the next record, featuring two full lengthers. We’ve got the title track on the premiere.
‘Acid Constellations’ is a euphoric groover designed quite perfectly in line with its title. Acid melody remains constant, blending in and out of focus from open to close. Its sweet sounds sit in a softer dimension, hugged warmly by a filter, drifting through time and space as the name might suggest.
Dreamy euphoric synth sets the background, lifting the listener up to the realms above. Somehow the connection between light and sound is vivid. Warm colours transcend into the mind, an easy picture to paint as an aptly made beat for those nights in the club. The beauty of acid is captured as a method of mind transportation.
The vibes continue across the A and B – as the melodies intertwine and the acid moves back to the shadows, it’s the atmosphere that remains ever-present.
Buy the record from decks.de, due for release on 23rd August.
