For the next VOLUMO exclusive premiere, we welcome back French favourite Djebali, and for this fire single, he has teamed up with REda daRE. Having been tried and tested on the most discerning floors with DC10 bearing witness during Djebali’s own set, we present “Freak”.
Featuring both REda daRE and Djebali’s keen knack for an earworming 90s bassline, “Freak” leans heavily on super catchy, rounded bass tones and lush atmospheric pads. The vocal sample is one that most will have heard before, but the use of this well-known sample has been used sparingly and with great care not to retread old ground. The result is a wicked club tool that by all accounts has already been doing the business.
