Having impressed this time last month when we touched down in Baku, Cestlek is now joined by Slou for our next Free Download collaboration with VOLUMO. Each artist has become a centre point to the growing scene in Azerbaijan, and with tracks like this in their locker, we can see why.
For our next joint Free Download alongside VOLUMO we present Slou & Cestlek and their groove machine “Janković”. Atmospheric washes circle the thudding kicks and roomy percussion, but the wait is not long before a crunchy snare arrives together with an irresistible bassline. This alone is enough to send most floors into a frenzy, but the addition of a detuned synth and a forlorn lead line propels this skywards. Flowing like a raging torrent but with the liquidity of a smooth stream, the track segues effortlessly from peak time back into a locked groove.
