Aerofunk is back on Silias Records, but this time with a little help from the legendary Varhat, and this one will be checked in full today.
“L3 2L8 (Varhat Remix)” is just what you could expect from the remixer. Deep, long, trippy journey that puts you back into the golden era of French tech/minimal house. Moderately mellow, still designed for the dancefloors in full.
The original version of “L3 2L8” has almost nothing of that atmosphere. Here’s the full Aerofunk sound – gritty, almost filthy, on the edge of 4/4 and some broken beats. And some magnificent vocals here too. “Straight Up” puts us back into the deep side of Aerofunk’s productions, while “Crowmance” picks a few slow breakbeats again (and some VERY lovely vocals, must say).
A very versatile record; if you liked it, yoyaku got you covered with the purchase already.
