Barcelona native Torrent’s ear for groove and texture took shape through endless nights chasing underground sounds down a myriad of rabbit holes. That obsession turned into skill behind the decks and in the studio that landed him sets at domestic meccas such as Les Enfants Brillants, Studio Stereo, and 303 Audiophile Bar. This dedication to his craft also led to him releasing on respected imprints like Cabaret Recordings, Unusual Systems, Cymatix, and Cupula Recordings.
For our last in the series of VOLUMO powered Free Downloads, we welcome Torrent to the plate, where he delivers the electro funk of “NRG”. The track title could not be more fitting, as the undulating bassline and laser zaps keep the grooves tight and bubbling under full tilt. The stripped-back rhythms are enhanced even further by a sync’d synth line that maintains the dancefloor-centric attitude.
