The Lion and Lamb have extended their fundraising campaign to unlock further government funding

Since we reported on The Lion and Lamb’s plight to save their venue there have been some developments. Unfortunately to date, this plight has not been recognised by the Mayor of London and the funding that has been doled out to other parties has not found its way to the door of this creative hub. This means that in order for The Lion and Lamb to remain open and add future-proofed value to the venue more fundraising is required.

In a statement issued on social media The Lion and Lamb exceeded the original fundraising goal in order to prevent the creative haven from being another casualty of COVID-19 they need your continued support. With the furlough scheme barely enough to adequately cover the cost of staff wages more is needed in order complete the work on their new café, record store as well as the countless other improvements already on their list. For those of you that have already donated, you can expect to receive your donor reward shortly.

With The Lion and Lamb home to some of London’s hottest small scale parties, it would be a serious blow to the city to lose such a shining beacon.

To donate go to their crowdfunder.co.uk page.
