Outcast Torino member Cristian Sarde launches his new imprint Radici alongside crew member Salvatore Ficara. In charge of the debut release will be Cristian himself and the offering is iterations of swaggering house with serious attitude.
We open the release with A1 banger “Feel The Funk” and it sets the high octane tone for the release perfectly. Acid basslines, rapped out vocals and blown synths are employed to great effect here. This could quite easily soundtrack an Outcast set and we can only imagine the effect this bomb would have on their dancefloor. A2 “Accelerator” is a futuristic houser with eerie vocals that hint at the vibes that are about to be unleashed. Repeating synth notes add to the stripped back theme to create a no-frills banger.
B1 continues these electro tinged vibes with “Track 3” and the panning sound effects help to widen the track while the robotic vocals and rock solid grooves do their job. Completing the release is a much deeper cut but still benefits from the electronic elements of past tracks but melds them onto a lush paddy segment to form a nicely balanced early hours weapon.
