Siete Punto Cuatro is charity compilation that brings together 23 artists from across the electronic music scene in support of families affected by the recent earthquake in Colombia that took place on August 10. Released digitally on Bandcamp, the release brings together a varied selection of genres, with 100% of the sales going towards the relief effort through UNICEF.
The compilation moves freely between different styles and moods, giving each artist space to approach the project in their own way. Our premiered track, Z@p’s “BJam2”, is a stripped-back, groove-led piece built around steady percussion and melodic acid lines. Its rolling rhythm keeps the track in constant motion, while subtle shifts add undeniable charm to it.
Buraye’s “Truthsayer” takes a darker route, pairing a melodic lead with a sustained bass and heavy, straight percussions, alongside a sharp synth work. Stefano Andriezzi contributes “Quiubo” and takes a more industrial turn, with hard-edged drums and synths shaping the track’s hypnotic foundation that gradually builds a distinctly trippy setup. Elsewhere, Samuel Jabba’s “Psychosphere” kicks off with a pitched-up sound effect and melodic leads, while Julio Victoria’s “Señales” brings acid notes, trippy effects and expansive strings that steadily build tension.
The remaining contributions come from Alex Dima, Alquimic, Däif, Dani Labb, Donnie Cosmo, GINNO, JUAAN, Mich, Montei, Moray, Nicolas Duque, Richer, Rindeau, Ross Mvnro, Shkedul, Shyda, Will Regan and Z-ID, completing a 23-track collection that turns a shared love for electronic music into direct support for those affected by the disaster.
Siete Punto Cuatro is available exclusively through Bandcamp, where listeners can also find a separate donation option. With all release sales directed towards supporting those affected, the compilation offers a simple way for the electronic music community to come together and contribute through music.
