Tancido is a well-known label for Trommel readers, but their choice for the tenth record is not as obvious. Podolskyi from Odesa, and his first vinyl release. Interesting!
Fully in the buzzing and squelchy style of Tancido, “Flow Check“, the opener of the release, leans into the stripped-down side of its discography. But still, even listening to it through your telephone speakers, probably, will give you some shivers. The bass is enormous.
“Movement” goes even more into the stripped-down side, with the breaking rhythms all the way. “We Are All Connected” feels like it has the best pieces from the gorgeous minimal era of the 00s (and I definitely know that Lumitecc, the label’s owner, loves it). And finally, “Controller Warp” brings that A1 buzz back.
Very nice selection for the first vinyl release. It’s already at Redeye or Deejay. Check their pre-orders!
