“Acid Motion” kicks off the A-side as classic acid lines collide with unpredictable plucks that twist and curl with waves of harmony rinsing right through. Undeniable acid lines, awash with deep and nostalgic pads working in tandem with some freaky frequency modulation to deliver a tasteful and well-rounded banger with a classic touch. Real tight and will definitely do the damage for all hours of the night. “Haus Station” reimagines some classic house elements, with soulful melodies acting as the siren’s call, 303 acidity bubbles and swells throughout as the track remains effervescent and addictive.
On the flip side, B1. “Static Signal” continues to deliver retrospective takes on the classics, as solid sounds are augmented by a host of tasty FX work and programming, providing that contemporary edge to downright solid grooves. “Subtex Experience” is every bit as deep as it is mellow, with elements evolving and embellishing across the board, then it’s back to barebones bass, drums and groove… nice!
Loving everything about this release and label so far, with “KOKLA – Motion State EP [S2S001]” landing 26th of October, we are very much looking forward to hearing the rest of the story from Side2Side.
