Zurich club Supermarket turns 22 with marathon party

Having been one of the first clubs in Europe to open back up again after COVID-19 came to town the Zurich club will be celebrating turning the ripe old age of 22 on Saturday, September 12th. With each passing weekend, Supermarket welcomes the biggest and brightest names from the world underground scene that has recently included Ricardo Villalobos, Raresh, Pedro, and Rhadoo. This weekend, however, they will be entrusting the decks to the people that are responsible for the clubs’ long-running and continued success – local artists and residents.

Any club can book the hottest names to boost their numbers but what is true testament to a venue’s long-running success is to nurture talent from its own quarters. By doing so they not only ensure that visiting artists are given the correct musical support but when there is limited bookings available the dancefloor still remains packed. Looking through the assembled artists you will spy a few names that are artists in their own right such as Kalabrese and Alci, but artists such as Rozzo, Flavio, Rogi, Romano Corsini, and Marques Sigi have all played a massive part in the success of regular parties under the tree, Camouflage, Bermuda, Particular and Unique.

Also, joining these familiar faces across the weekend-long party will be Atef, Anto & Camilo, Alex Wild, Cumuli & Bvrton, Fulvio Cala, Ragan, Rostdiamant, Asphalt, Pazkal, Anthik, George Lamell, De La Maso, Dario La Mazza, Frenchwork, And Hazel, Jonny Perez, Gogo, Bora, Andaloop, Alex Dallas, Gallo, Valentino, Pasci, Don Ramon, San Marco, Andreas Ramos, and Beda.

As we have already waxed lyrical when it comes to Supermarket’s on point programming over the coming weeks they will also be welcoming Dyed Soundorom, Valentino Kanyani, Mountain People, Alci, Rogi and Nuri. This outstanding array of artists will be ensuring Camouflage’s 5th birthday will go off with a bang and no doubt about it. Then on Saturday, September 19th Supermarket will team up with esteemed Romanian institution Club Guesthouse for a showcase that will see G76 and Zefzeed perform all night long. If you haven’t made any international travel plans make sure and check the Supermarket schedule before you do as there is bound to be something to put a smile on your face.
