Two years is a long time in anybody’s book but when it comes to throwing parties it is felt even more. Not that the picnic crew have taken a sabbatical in that time, far from it. In the time since their last show at fabric they have traversed the globe with their brand of house and techno in tow. They have transported their brand to the many hotspots of underground good times that have included Hoppetosse and Club der Visionaere in Berlin, Doka in Amsterdam, and Caprices in Switzerland. Not to mention an upcoming date at Sao Paulo’s fabled D-EDGE. It is however the scene of their fateful eighth birthday that will be one of the most awaited shindigs to come.
With more than a little time to make up for picnic will be decamping to fabric on Saturday, March 26th for a night (and morning) of the finest house and techno courtesy of a mouth-watering assortment of artists. Having been sharing the dancefloor with you for a decade there is no way they would have lasted the pace without a sterling array of regulars and their very own co founder and resident, Andy Luff. Andy has been there from the very beginning and continues to be an ever-present driving force in the brand’s development and musical structure.
Over the course of the room 1 and room 2 takeovers there will be a tidily diverse line-up that will include Data Memory Access aka Giammarco Orsini and fellow Italian Jacopo Latini who will be playing their long awaited debut live set. London regulars Mother Earth, Night Moves also known as Jane Fitz & Jade Seatle, and expert selector and Slow Life queen Laurine will also be in attendance. Top of the bill has been reserved for an extra special B2B and at present we can only reveal that one half of that duo will be the curly haired vibe maiden tINI. You will need to keep your eyes and ears peeled for details on who she will be sharing the decks with but believe us when we say it will certainly not disappoint.
