Tanzform, the freshest 360 music community platform of the moment, continued the streak and announced yet another banger record release, part of their new project ValoVariou, which aims to bring talent together. Volume One of the series consists of a fine selection of underground tunes carefully crafted by Ciron, Dj Gamba, Locky & Shaque, and G.I.A. More details about Tanzform and the cool team behind it can be checked out here.
“Cauchemar”, Dj Gamba’s premiered track on A2 is living proof of his perpetual musical development and experimentation with various sounds. Coming from an African background and notorious for the local traditional influences in his music, this is a case of challenging himself and coming up with a cosmic hi-tech approach. With its muffled machine-like synths from the beginning, to the goth-influenced midpoint that paves the way to the peak part with its catchy bassline and deep vocal sample, Gamba’s piece is an exquisite example of his limitless musical diversity.
Hailing from Germany, Ciron has been behind the decks in the underground scene for over a decade so far, with a generous portfolio of gigs around Europe and Asia. His signature housey sound left its stamp on his track “Quaca” on A1, a satisfying piece with a clear, linear trajectory and a sonic atmosphere.
“Deep Dunk” – Locky and Shaque’s work on side B1 has an eerie allure that is as intriguing as it is mysterious. But this is exactly what makes it truly charming. With those subtle vocals that resemble the sound of a siren’s lure accompanied by whispers mumbling ‘you don’t know anything’, all on top of a mystical-sounding background, it fully absorbs you into its peculiar universe.
G.I.A, or Giammarco Orsini’s alter-ego, highlights his Berliner side, with its local rave-infused sound, present in his work “Ipno” on side B2. The spaceship-like pads, the voice samples, and the computerized textures deliver that proper industrial vibe of Berlin’s rave halls.
The release saw great success among music aficionados, as it sold out on Tanzform website in less than two months since its release. However, keep your fingers crossed and maybe you might get your hands on a repress.
