Few labels have churned out pumping party tracks like Gene On Earth‘s Limousine Dream in the past few years. Since it’s inception in 2017, the Berlin-based artist’s label has only ever hosted music from the man himself. His musical brainchild spanning five EPs and a chunky nine-track LP back in 2019, you could often wonder whether the American producer intended for just his own music to feature on the label.
Such wondering has been firmly put to bed with the announcement of ‘TSOL – The Sound Of Limo’ to be released in June, featuring tracks created during last winter. The first instalment of the TSOL series features a mammoth 13 tracks across two slabs and four sides of wax with a further digital exclusive track from Gene for those who order on Bandcamp.
The artists involved in presenting the sound of Gene’s limo dream come from some usual suspects and some you may not. As you may expect from Gene’s relationship The Ghost, there are tracks from a few Ghost affiliates, including Huerta, Liquid Earth, Sugar Free and DJ Pipe.
The LP nicely blends established names with Sweely, Roza Terenezi and Dyed Soundorom with exciting, up-and-coming names like Nothing But Nice co-founder James Andrew, the mysterious Voodoos & Taboos and, Taslo Valve with further music from Anderson and Noiro.
Party starters will be aplenty, with Gene styling a mix for Dimensions Festival featuring music from the compilation.
The Sound Of Limo will be available on June 14th, with vinyl pre-order available at Subwax and a digital pre-order via Bandcamp.
