Opera debuts in Valencia with a 12-hour two part festival experience

With the summer sun fading in most places, Opera turns up the heat for its debut gathering on Saturday, October 1st. This 12-hour ride will take place in two distinct locations and of course the selection of artists that have line-up is pristine.

With the chances for open-air session dwindling this will perhaps be the last hurray for the season and what a day party Opera have planned. Beginning at midday at the stunning landscaped gardens of Jardines de Viveros, international guests will be fully supported by the best that the region has to offer. Sitting atop of this sterling event is the French trio of selectors know as Apollonia. Having traversed the world’s main stages and sweatbox raves Dan Ghenacia, Shonky, and Dyed Soundorom have more than enough bombs in their collective record bags to make even the most subdued crowds bounce from start to finish.

Coming a very (very) close second in the vibe stakes is the unstoppable combination of Traumer b2b with tINI. Singularly, both of these artists are hot property and have been for a long time now, together they present a truly exciting prospect that has is not often witnessed. Next up for the initial part of the journey is Perlon regular Chris Korda and her unique use of mathematics to craft her music that results in irregular time signatures and with awe inspiring original musical works such as her new album ‘Four is a bore / Why not more?’.

We are not even remotely done with the guest announcements as one of our standout InSession podcasters from last year and Tresydos Records boss Mari.te will be on hand to ramp up the pressure. Her feel good house, disco flecked bombs and lush breaks will have Opera crowd eating out the palm of her hand in no time at all. Edging towards the beginning of the session and there will be a four-way threat showcase from Valencia’s finest minimal emporium Oven Club. Owner Pin has been bringing the finest in regional talent and international legends to the red light soaked nightspot for many years. Joining Pin will be hombres Dario Mendez, Pau Perez and Sueezo. Completing this extremely well curated day in the sun will be Lespalmes Discs boss Pizzicato. His activity in the region is unsurpassed and you will want to be there from the very beginning to catch him action.

Moving on to the after dark session and the even more musical delights awaiting at Spook Multispacio. The gargantuan discotheque will play host to Cocoon artist and Salty Nuts boss Fabe. With a completely packed out touring schedule that has recently stopped off in Manchester, Paris, Amsterdam, the list goes on and on. Joining him will be Spanish hotshot Javier Carballo and with the huge amounts of miles he has covered in his home country he will be making his Valencian debut when he warms the system at the Opera Festival after show rave. Proceeding Fabe and Javier will be Aapaes and Goalmaker who will be playing back to back as well as Varis completes the musical offering
