Sunny Side Festival heads to Malta with Half Baked, Dungeon Meat, SlapFunk and more

Sunny Side is a new festival project heading to the Mediterranean island of Malta.

The island is known for its beautiful coastlines, pristine waters, and historic architecture. Combining the local culture with delicious food and the warm presence of the locals, the new festival is looking to create something truly memorable.

Taking place from May 17-19th next year, Sunny Side will spread across two stages, welcoming a tasteful selection of dance music promoters.

Friday will see a fruitful collaboration from the Dutch crew SlapFunk together with tINI’s iconic tINI and the gang for a full takeover of the Treehaus stage. Local Malta promoter Unfocused will take care of the Tropicana stage, offering a heavier taste of techno.

On Saturday, May 18th, Zanzibar’s Why?Not crew join forces with the legendary Italian club After Caposile for a beach takeover. The same evening, French tastemakers Yoyaku will be spreading their flavours at the Treehaus.

Sunday welcomes London tastemakers Half Baked along with ourselves. Expect a series of surprises for this special curation. Closing out the festival, Malta’s leading promoters Sunny Side Up will feature alongside Tristan Da Cunha and Brawther’s infectious Dungeon Meat label who have been invited to close the festival at Treehaus.

The festival will span over two main stages, Treehaus and Tropicana at Uno Malta, the country’s premiere open-air venue surrounded by the national park. Festival attendees will also get to experience the island’s vibrant lifestyle and enjoy the sunset at the day parties at Tortuga Beach.

The range of collectives coming together for this occasion is sure to create magic. Whether you’re getting down to SlapFunk and tINI’s energy or soaking up the breathtaking views at the beach, Sunny Side has a lot to offer.

Sunny Side Festival is a product of local promoters Sunny Side Up. Since 2017, this crew has hosted various events, including their sought-after Sunday morning parties featuring the likes of Ben Sims, Brawther, Lamache and Samuel Deep.

As of December 1st, a limited amount of early bird tickets will be available from 75€. Tickets can be purchased online here
