Vietnam-based beach juggernaut Epizode Festival has grown into a truly influential stop-off on the world underground music circuit. Unfortunately, they had to shelve plans for their 2020 event but this has only given them a little more time to work on switching things up even more. With this in mind, they have been working hard behind the scenes to switch tact and will be debuting at the coastal location in Albania’s Lezhe area between September 23-26.
The only way you would have not heard about Epizode and their magical sessions is if you were living under a large rock since before 2016. The effortless style and production that they bring to their events lend themselves perfectly to the crashing waves of the adjacent beach. There is also the fact that they curate their lineups and showcases so well that they attract the crème de la crème of the world’s minimal, techno, and house spheres. This ethos is encapsulated perfectly by the various headliners that litter the festival.
Parties such as Yoyaku, Mdrnty, Arma, and Half Baked mean the likes of Apollonia, Ricardo Villalobos, [a:rpia:r], Zip and Sonja Moonear is almost a permanent fixture and there is a very high chance that the caliber of their Albanian edition will follow suit. After the recent huge success of UNUM Festival and the way in which the Albanian government handled the COVID-19 situation and rapid testing has meant that festivals are now a viable option in this beautiful corner of the world.
Early Bird Multi-Passes will be available from July 15th starting at the international price of €69 while the Balkan countries will have a special price of €44. Tickets can be purchased online via Epizode website: www.epizode.eu.
