Since launching in 2019, DJ.Rise and Bays’ Alien Communications project has already made a wide range of contributions to the scene. Delivering several carefully curated events at Scotland’s subterranean venue Cabaret Voltaire, producing a sprawling audio-visual album in ‘Synthetic Memory Systems Vol I’, and launching spin-off projects like Rise’s Age of Hyperion and Bays’ Space Dust label, AC has put some serious thought and super-human effort into their brand.
With the duo partly based down in London, they have long been ‘in with the bricks’ at The Cause, but few could have foreseen the scale of their upcoming event on Saturday 9th October. Having already taken control of The Cause and its many areas back in August, AC is blasting off into deep space once again next Saturday with a massive selection of top artists by their side.
The 90s-tinged, futurist aesthetic of Alien Communications is complemented exceptionally well by the myriad of names that will be joining them across the 18-hour rave that covers all areas of the venue. Iconic artists such as Mathew Jonson, DMX Krew, and Carl Finlow will play live, while super-influential selectors Move D, A-Future, Domenic Cappello, and Japanese legend DJ Masda will be delving into their expansive record collections for the evening.
As well as these international names, there will also be a host of London-based talent on show. While Hypercolour hosts The Theatre, with Ste Roberts and Em+Stav supporting Move D, good friend of the label Jos will host Innershades and Mathew Dexter for an EYA Records Showcase in The Garage. Elsewhere, the prolific Sansibar will also play live, with emerging London favourite Loa Szala and Alien Communications themselves completing a marathon party.
Tickets are on sale now for this serious session…
