Today we’re having, probably, the longest ever catalogue number in our series. And all that because of the collaboration between the masters from Tessellate and Semi Delicious. Their chiefs, Demi Riquísimo and The Trip are in charge of this lovely 4-tracker.
“Rock The Beat” starts with the “how do you say” sample (think iO (Mulen) here), turning this into the perfect delicate banger for the festival season. The vibe of both labels is presented here equally, I would say.
“Midnight Shift” probably leans more into the Semi Delicious side with the signature Demi Riquísimo percussions – another lovely vocals and groovy chords just complementing each other. If we need to look at the Tessellate side, it would be “Don’t Go Away” from the start of the record. Easily picturing it on any video recording from the summer, and that bassline – damn! And, finally, “On A Roll” hits us with a solid roller, not a banger this time, but hey, summer is gonna be hard, we need some chill too.
The release is soon, and the record is ready for the pre-orders at Juno, Deejay or Decks. As usual.
