Romanian events crew (un)Still return to the Bucharest clubbing calendar with a real nice looking knees up. It may have been a couple of years since we heard from them, but the vision is coming across stronger than ever. Featuring a solidly chosen lineup, an exquisite space for the dance and all night schedule to boot.
The venue is nestled deep in the heart of Bucharest, at the centre of Bordei Park. Don’t be fooled by the city life around it, this is a location most serene in its surroundings. Blended by nature, thanks to the large lake that circles it and the camouflage of green. A stone’s throw from the hustle and bustle, yet fully equipped for the escapism that we crave.
Vinyl aficionado’s The Ghost are heading up the lineup. The pair, made up of Josh Tweek and James Creed, have spent their years building a delectable record collection of mostly rare, varied and down right delightful gems. Known for lengthy sets that promote the opportunity to dig deep through this otherwise unheard sound makes The Ghost some of the most sought after selectors.
Cap sits alongside them, one of Bucharest’s own who is for sure a leading figure in the Romanian scene. Despite an extensive touring schedule throughout Europe and beyond, you can often find him back playing in his hometown. An active presence in the city ensures he knows exactly the vibe that the people crave. Offering a delicate infusion of minimal house cuts that merge deep grooves through percussive led rhythms, this is peak, jazz, rolling and everything in between.
Mihnea Rog completes the lineup, an artist often found playing alongside Cap, already well versed in the warm up. It’s worthwhile to get down early for this one, offering the chance to see an eager crate digger armed with genre bending beats spanning minimalistic to progressive.
Set to last long past the sunrise this is no doubt going to be a special night following on to an even more special morning. Thirteen hours offers the space for extended sets and the respective artistic journeys that brings. Prepare for unadulterated sounds, long through the night.
