London promoter Into The Woods has built itself a loyal following in the Capital over the last 6 years, with strong ties to the underground scene extending across to France, Berlin, Amsterdam and beyond. Having recently bolstered their sonic offering through the launch of the Into The Woods vinyl imprint, showcasing work from the highly talented and in-demand producer Swoy who followed their opening release from Romanian maestro Sepp.
After taking a short pause at the start of 2023 since last years’ November party at StarLane with Lizz, Into The Woods now turns its focus to their upcoming Spring event series. They kick things off with another intimate party at new clubbing hotspot 25 Paul Street. Situated in a notorious Shoreditch townhouse, this 200-capacity venue will fist host up-and-coming Romanian duo Constratti and Techu on Friday 17th March. Both artists recently signed to the Into The Woods Artist Agency and the 25 Paul Street party will be their outing for the brand, with further support coming from Azire, Kas, Olivia Ward, Rupert Ellis, and longtime resident Tarek Charbonnier.
This trio of events across three consecutive weekends will continue in earnest with the ITW crew’s launch of sister brand Out of the Woods at The Spark House, Leyton. Out Of The Woods is a step towards further diversifying the brand’s musical offering. Their new home at The Spark House comes fully equipped with a crisp Martin Audio BacklineX sound system with the venue looking to provide an alternative location for electronic music in the East London area. To ensure the series is off to a flying start they have lined up tech house OG Silverlining. Few artists can lay claim to such an influential legacy but with a laidback humble attitude that only goes to strengthen his legitimacy with each passing release. Also on the bill will be London favourite and regular FAE, local studio hotshot Thoma Bulwer and OOTW resident f.lo.
Completing this fine array of gatherings will be an ITW and Calypso Sunday Session takeover of Night Tales in Hackney. Calypso is Alexis Cabrera’s Malaga brand and this will be the second of their collaborations at one of London’s best daytime party spots, where a safe space is provided for everyone to enjoy every single beat of those taking control of its sound-system. For this third and final party in the spring collection Calypso and Argentinian multi-instrumentalist and crack producer Alexis Cabrera will bring his live set to London in advance of his up-and-coming Into The Woods vinyl release (more info coming soon). Joining Alexis will be his partner from Calypso, Ignacio Morales who goes b2b with Romanian Lumieux, whilst Benjamin Joseph and t.na are on warm-up duties. For those wishing to make a full day and night of this date there will be an after party at the one and only Fabric. The brands will be teaming up with Rave Rabbit on their return to the Farringdon clubbing mecca where they renew their Sunday Session credentials.
