The biggest in-club event of Kyiv Closer team will finally take place in its usual spot in May after years of rescheduling and cancellations caused by COVID-19 restrictions and the full-scale Russian invasion in Ukraine. Two days – 20.05 and 21.05 will cover, as usual, the biggest amount of locations at 31 Nyzhnyoyurkivska street, as possible with 50+ artists in the line-up.
This year it will be held at 7 locations – Yard, Otel’, Closer, Metaculture, Mezzanine, Lesnoy Prichal and Closer Connections. Yard will feature the performances by Ish, John Dimas, Borys and Brooht on Saturday and Sunday. The highlights of Otel’ (Saturday only) are Alex Savage, Ponura and Travis. Closer on Saturday will host Afriqua and Roman K amongst others. Metaculture – also on Saturday – will become home for the hard sounds of Recid and Louwave & Splinter (UA). Mezzanine, quite contrary will finish their Saturday schedule with the disco vibes from Jazzmate. Lesnoy Prichal – probably, the most recognizable location, will be opened on Sunday with highlights by Sibil, Karine and Aliana. The place and look of Closer Connections stage are still to be revealed.
Because of the curfew in Kyiv, which starts at midnight, the event will be daytime-only. The performances are planned to finish till 23:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
