Premiere: A2 – Droxal – Christal Echoes [MELCURE014]

Melcure co-founder Dani Casarano unveils the first release on his label from his new musical project Droxal. Featuring four forward facing original cuts from the man himself, MELCURE014 signals a new arrival in the Melcure stable.

Leading out on side A is titular track “Spore Symphony” and kept is stripped for the beginning, the growling synths and mysteriously atmospheric synths ensure that the floor is kept in suspense throughout. For our premiere however, we head to “Christal Echoes” and while maintaining the reduced grooves, there are more atmospheric layers to be found. Gated acid stabs echo across the track while the heavy hitting grooves keep the dancefloor locked in.

Over on side B and “Purple Abyss” is just as spacial and ensures that each finely tuned element is given enough space and power to breathe. This cosmic theme extends to the EP closer “Velvet Nebula” ends the release with a bang. Waning synth stabs and undulating bass tones keep the action bubbling while the acid synths edge the energy levels upward. A rousing end to four-tracker punctuated with more than a few highlights, make sure to grab this while you can as Melcure releases never stick around for long.
