Italian artist, Prismatique label boss and Veniceberg resident Omar Akhrif has many strings to his bow and he now cements this with an outrageous four track EP for Melcure. He joins a strong stable of artist includes label owners Felipe Valenzuela, Dani Casarano , Momo Trosman & Abscal, as well as Le Loup, Cosmic JD, Wil Do, Erell Ranson and many others. His “The Eye Of The World” EP is an upfront view into the future worth careful consideration for your next banger.
Heading straight to A1 bomb “Every”, a snarling bass wielding animal of a track that has harnessed the devastating power of the 303. Stripped back and primed for action raw repeating hats ensure that the pace is kept at a breakneck pace. Sinister synths and pads help to provide a pitch-black backdrop to the track that leads perfectly into the rest of the release. Next is “Lia” an equally ballsy track, on a more stripped back and functional tip and powerful synths bump against gripping percussion to form a formidable soundtrack.
Side B features even more power music and “Bat Day” dials up the tempo and grooves. Uplifting zapping synths and growling basslines work their magic to great effect here to offer a bit more light to proceedings. Rounding out this excellent tenth release from Melcure is “Bring The Animals There” and collaborating with Lucretio results in a cosmic weapon of epic proportions.
MELCURE10 will be available shortly via Subwax.
