The home of the legendary tracks (I saw what “Hold Back” and “A Funky Introduction” did with the people on the dancefloors, “legendary” is the exact and only word here) – Dungeon Meat is ready with its tenth release, hosting a house master Locklead here. We just covered his release on Vatos Locos – this one – to be brief – is just as good. But with a touch of “dungeonmeatness”…
… that is usually hiding inside the power of a kick. As almost every track in the history of this label, “B-Leave” will make you beg about its kick comeback during those pauses, filled with vocal samples. Great build-up and a house/garage melody that is added on top to that signature percussion fit each other perfectly here.
If you want to cut the vocals – here you go, there’s an instrumental version waiting for you. And if you want to do some proper DJ work – here you go, there’s “B-Leave-A-Pella”, ready to be spinned with some other tracks you pick. The whole A-side is dedicated to one track.
While the other side is ready to feed us two more beauties. “Funk + Press” with its solid UKG vibe and “Ruff Boogie”, that goes a little classic way, while its kick doesn’t let us forget the fact, that we’re listening to the record from the Dungeon Meat label.
The history of Dungeon Meat tells us, that this should be an easy sold-out. It would be even without my conversation with Brawther, who told me, that this record has one of the most asked about tracks inside ever. So, you know – Juno, Deejay, Redeye… Be quick, ok?
