Romania counts a great many producers to have shaped the minimal and credible tech-house landscape in recent years and perhaps one of the artists to have been on the scene for many years is Rhadow. His finely curated releases for the likes of Kina Music, Get Physical, Cadenza and most recently Detic Recordings means his tracks are constantly adding to his impressive discography. Today we are discussing his cosmic tinged ‘Beneath’ EP on brand new East London label Circa Groove.
Leading out the upbeat and equally high energy original version of ‘Beneath’ on A1 features finely tuned toms and a snappy kick and clap combination which is soon joined by a galactic atmosphere. This deep-space adventure deeply meanders with the addition of stunning synth arrangements and it is easy to see why Rhadow has enjoyed such success over the years as the production here is spot on. Coupling sweet soundscapes with heavy-hitting drums ‘Beneath’ hits the perfect stride between deeper shades of tech house and the peak time hours.
Meanwhile on B1 LaRosa turns in a chunkier remix taking parts of the atmospheric elements and adding them to a more bleepy bumping drum motif. Rounding out the first release for Circa Groove is Fitz UK who delivers a more upfront iteration with more intricate minimal beats, a bounding bassline and nice inclusion of the original vocal samples while retaining the original mood of ‘Beneath’
The ‘Beneath’ EP on Circa Groove is now available on Beatport.
