Messi, Suarez, Neymar… Bale, Benzema, C.Ronaldo… Nah, today we’re having a better supertrio – Trent Voyage, Elena Moroder, Quirk. Another hit? YES!
“Cravings” is the fifth and last track on the newest Quirk record, full of beauties. Why we picked this one – to be honest, it’s the most unusual track from them so far. Catchy (supercatchy!) melody, murmuring Elena’s voice on the electro beats with a pinch of acid – I don’t expect their last year’s success, but it will be VERY close to it.
Now, to something more traditional for the duo, “Jamiro” starts the record with crazy kicks to add another portion of gorgeous Elena’s voice later. Everything you can dream of for the opening track. Everything you’ll crave during the hot summer days. “Show Them” somehow sounds more like Alexander Skancke’s production at the beginning (with all those spooky vibes), but the voice reminds that this is NOT his record.
“So Good”, the starter of the B-side, adds some italo vibe (and Italian language) – and as they’re singing during the track, it’s “Sooooooooo goooood!”. Finally, “Cosmic Connection” is a very trippy piece – not only because of the voice, but also because of the gentle build-up.
5 scores out of 5, literally, one of the hardest selections for the section so far. The record is already waiting for you at Deejay. Go, go, go!
