If you were an active guest at record stores in 2019 and 2020, you, should probably recall the name of Kellon and the label Spillway, which had a short, but very active story. Now they both resurrected, just under other names. Kellon became Viewfinder, and the label transformed into the name of Rescan Records. It seems, that, as on Spillway, the label will have mostly Viewfinder, with some additions of guest producers. The first one of them will be Sasha Nevolin, and I have just managed to take his track for a spin.
“Hempus” is a very mellow, but still club-ready piece, that is closing the record here. Just a little pinch of acid hitting us during those almost six minutes of straight, jumpy, looping texture. One of those tracks, when you can’t say – you’ve been listening to this loop for 5 on 25 minutes already – that’s how nice the trip is here.
And, let’s also check the tracks by Viewfinder quickly. The record is opening with “Simplicity” (the best way, right?). If you’re listening to it at home – it will definitely sound chill. But, I bet, in the club it will be a totally different story. Probably, a very underrated banger we got here. Its follow-up “Existential” is a very quick one, won’t let you think about any existential problems, nono, but instead will give you something to dance to. And the last one here, “Factotum”, is a banging 4/4 tool, that some UKG lovers will be thrilled to grab.
