FUSE mainstay Rich NxT contributes a sultry acid reshape for the London label’s 49th release on their sister outfit Infuse, concluding a four-track EP from fellow London based and previously premiered Joe Rolet.
Varying moods throughout the EP offer an interesting pairing of the cosmic-driven influence of Joe Rolet and his Planetary Notions imprint, meeting with the tech-house strut of FUSE.
NxT’s premiered remix gives the A1 ‘Maximum Width’ a sleazy 4/4 treatment, veering away from the skippy garage vibe of the original and thrusting a mean bassline over reduced, driving drum patterns.
Vocals from the original seep into the mix beneath a sun-kissed string section introducing an extended breakdown, destined for a euphoric moment of a set. Elements are carefully crafted around one another, enabling for a satisfying, easy listen which the FUSE crew have been shaping for over a decade.
The confident, feel-good sound of the London imprint has been a tastemaker in recent years, in which Rich NxT has been a fundamental part of. Between the original FUSE outfit and sister label Infuse, the output is nearing 100 releases with an array of both frequent faces and upcoming producers.
