Having gained continued interest from the likes of Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin as well as Rhadoo, Gescu and Barac, Swiss label Neustadtmusik now presents the 4 track ‘De Fapta Da’ EP from Romanian based artist Raltz. Title track ‘De Fapt Da’ on A1 sets the tone of the release nicely with a dreamlike groove that makes use of chiming bells and ethereal pads to great effect. Don’t be confused with the devastating effect that this track will have on the dancefloor as the kicks and undulating bassline are solid and more than capable of carrying during a peak time set.
Carrying over to A2, Vid works his magic while retaining the overall feel of the original the remix reduces ‘De Fapt Da’ further by way of warping fx, crunchy drums and incoherent words found in the original cut. Flipping over B1 ‘Ce Poale Fi’ continues the unique juxtaposition found where Raltz’s jazzy elements rub up against minimal grooves. ‘O Dupamiaza Cu Ea’ rounds the EP nicely with a much more head-down approach but still strikes a fine balance between beat and beauty.
