iO (Mulen) keeps it pacey. We’ve just not so long ago had the previous release on his Hoarder (with Furz) not so long ago, and here you go – another one, this time with a well-known Occibel. Massive dancefloor killers, says the promo sheet. I like this record already.
And the promo doesn’t lie. We’re having them from the beginning of the first one, “Voyager 1”. Unreal groove, that always works, if you’re having a full dancefloor of people. Some favorite vocodered vocals, some juicy pieces of rave, installed into all melodies in this one, some – you won’t believe me – baby scratches. The fastest 6:36 in your life, that’s the main track of this release…
…that is followed by the track I loved the most after the first listening. “Thriller” has that bouncy “morning at the rave” feel, that immediately puts a smile on your face. Plus, those atmospheric chords closer to the middle of the track, Jesus!
The flip side keeps the same energy. Starting with “Freestyle”, we’re still having the mayhem of some forest rave in the middle… of, let’s say, France. And “Hello Users” gives us a lust punch. Also bouncy, but a little laid back, finally. A little break to get some drinks and continue the dancing.
