A fresh label on the horizon from Budapest, Ottavia Records, is preparing for it’s first release. This banger EP has already been supported by known-artists as Shonky, Dana Ruh, Franco Cinelli and many others. As a result, this 4-tracker VA compilation promises a great mosaic of absolute frequencies and is just getting ready to hit the shelves.
Ottavia Records is a Budapest-based vinyl-only label created by Claudio Imperatrice. The label-head told us for this project he teamed up with another two genuine talents: Groove Circus and GINO. He says: “We make music as well as we love art in general terms, that’s why we take care of every detail to express the art, although our main focus is music”. In fact, the illustrations are based on analog images taken by Dora Kontha from the TOBE Gallery, an exclusive art gallery in Budapest.
For the opening of the EP and for our premiere, French extravaganza Lowris delivers a banger for any dancefloor. Sassy, naughty and unpredictable sequences takes the listener to a journey like no other. After his latest release from Motion Sequence, the Concrete resident delivers once again a masterpiece. On this one, bass lines on a crunchy drums are the ones to look out for.
Second track comes from FÆR (which is the project leaded by Argenis Brito & Felipe Valenzuela), a cut plenty of raw sounds and acid brushstroke compliments to euphoric feelings.
Ema Remedi begins the flip side with vocal slices, soft pads and devastating bass line. Lastly, Jaffa Surfa comes with a timeless cut called “Iznot”, a track lots of housey vibes, breakbeats and dancefloor focus.
