There are few artists that are made for a particular label but Binh and Undersound Recordings are a pairing that few can argue with.
Known for his mastery of the cosmic off key wonkiness, Time Passages boss Binh has been a close member of the Undersound family for a long time now. So much so, that he was recently charged with closing out the label’s illustrious event series alongside Nicolas Lutz.
It is highly likely that if you were present at the Undersound closing party recently this A1 weapon would have been a highlight. The ‘Untitled’ EP is a special USRX release and is so named due to it being a 10” bright purple marbled record. The record’s galactic appeal only just starts with the way it looks and A1 makes no bones about living up to such billing as this is surely a peak time wonky bomb, no doubt about it.
Hi-hats fire open and closed salvos of sound as if in tandem with the bleeps, zaps and detuned synth notes that are careering around them but not without there being a thread of otherworldly sanity linking it all together.
If you have been to an Undersound Recordings party or even love what they do with their artwork you will be some way to understanding that this release from Binh could not have fitted with the labels ethos anymore.
Pre-orders are now being taken for this record at Clone.nl and Yoyaku. More info on the release on Discogs
