Having been a pivotal part in French uber brand Yyoaku’s obvious success, Varhat has recently announced that he will fly solo. From his releases under a multitude of monikers such as the essential HOSTOM, Axelle Stone, Boniface and of course his own artist name the Frenchman was central in pushing the much revered and respected sleek nu school Parisian minimal tech house sound. Having retreated to his studio of late to work on new material and an exciting live set, Varhat is now making his way back to the limelight where he belongs.
We have been looking forward to Varhat joining our podcast series for a long time now and as we always suspected he does not disappoint. Anybody that has caught him in action will agree that his sets are something else entirely. So with this live context in mind we are proud to present a 2 hour recording from his set at FUNKE BE and as you might expect, the Parisian quickly shifts through the gears taking in deep groovers, breaks and more peak time bombs along the way.
