System Error return for another weekender at Berlin’s beloved boat, Hoppetosse. As a collective, they’ve been shaping the city’s underground scene for years, holding down regular slots at Hoppetosse and Club der Visionaere, whilst orchestrating club and room takeovers at Renate, and taking their events even further afield. With each session, they cement their reputation as one of the hottest events on the Berlin circuit.
Taking over Hoppetosse for a marathon 34 hours from April 12th to 14th, System Error promises an uninterrupted flow of forward thinking sounds, with a lineup that reflects a tasteful selection amidst a well spread squad. With so many hours to play with, they’ve made sure to well cater sounds that extend from the dance to the downtime.
The lineup itself is nothing short of stacked, bringing together a well-curated mix of established names and fresh talent. Magda, one of the most in demand artists out there, leads the charge, alongside Vera, whose deep, hypnotic selections have long cemented her as a Berlin favourite. Voigtmann brings his signature off-kilter grooves, while fast rising star Loa Szala injects her unique energy of electro and techno into the mix. Ethel & Melody, a duo known for their infectious back-to-back sets since way back, also join the fray, next to a special live performance from Fabe that will no doubt come laced with those signature rolling Salty Nuts basslines.
It doesn’t stop there. Friends and residents will also be joining alongside newer names of the moment. KT, 192 GMBH, E.Lina, Delasflores, Guava, Frozilla, DJ Zurueckbleiben Bitte, Yard Customer, Big Leg and Johanna Elias make up the rest of a long list of names. 20 artists set to spearhead the journey through sound.
Last time System Error took over Hoppetosse was back in December, bringing an equally potent lineup that featured Tom Trago, Sibil, and a live set from Duncan Tomas. Clearly they’re on a role and the next might just be their biggest to date.
Beyond the music, expect the usual touches that a night with System Error brings it. A crowd that’s there for all the right reasons, a community shaped without frills and a focus on the dance floor. Also worth noting, that as well as the main room, their dedicated chill-out area is set to be well equipped to dial things down, as and when it’s needed.
