Paris’ Ping Pong Club return with their next showcase inviting UK selectors Hamish & Toby to face up with Truly Madly for an extended session.
The curation from two French collectives Nautilus Music and RMMT Roommates have been inviting fresh and unique combinations to play at the Parisian club BADABOUM. Returning on Thursday 24th February, Paris will be treated to a 7-hour session running until 6am. Both crews have been pivotal in growing the French scene, pushing the vinyl digging ethos and regularly hosting the likes of Unai Trotti, Vera and The Ghost in the capital.
Inspired by the spontaneity and surreal moments that often occur with back-to-back sets, the Ping Pong series invites artists to go head to head for extended sets, encouraging moments of magic in the club. Previous editions featured Evan Baggs B2B Christian AB and Quest B2B Sugar Free in the booth.
The three selectors from the heart of the digging community will be flying the UK flag over in Paris, spinning from their bottomless pit of gems. Whether it’s unearthed cuts from tech-house’s golden era of the 90s and early 2000s, or fresh cuts from the community of contemporary producers in the likes of DJ Pipe and Huerta, you can be sure to hear an educational range of music from these devoted selectors.
With decades of experience behind Hamish & Toby’s journey within music, from running the long-standing Butter Side Up party and label to curating the taste-making Dimensions Festival, the seasoned minds behind the booth are sure to create a memorable journey.
Spinning with regular collaborator and UK veteran, Truly Madly has been collecting and spinning records since the 90s, bringing bags of colour and energy to his sets which will bring an intriguing dynamic to this back-to-back.
Resident and co-founder of Roommates Lawis will be providing the warm up from 23:30, before handing over to the UK B2B2B antics.
