Given the number of top-shelf artists that Particular has attracted to Zurich’s Club Supermarket it’s hard to fathom that they have only been in operation for 12 months. Starting back in December last year with their first event which featured Floog and Andrei Ciubuc they have since welcomed Cezar, Mihigh, Paul K, K.D. Chriss, Kamran Sadeghi, Zefzeed, Incolor, Magda as well as nurturing a host of local and international support acts along the way.
In true Particular style, the quarterly party has pulled out all the stops to present a rightly blockbusting event on Saturday, December 7th. Topping the bill will be none other than Slovenian techno overlord Valentino Kanzyani, his sets at the likes of Sunwaves and Mioritmic have seen him return year on year and he now joins the Particular family to help celebrate their first anniversary in style. Joining him will be a truly talented artist and label visionary – Cesar Merveille. His Roche Madame label has produced some of the years finest edits and his own original tracks have been cropping up in the bags of the finest jocks for a long time now. Completing this fine selection of guests is an act that needs no introduction, least of all in Switzerland. The Mountain People have been at the peak of deep house since their first self-titled releases back in 2006 and their tripped down style continues to trend.
As with any great club night the success can be built on the backs of its residents and Flavio has been ever present over the last few years and has delivered time and time again. So much so, that the Supermarket resident was invited to play at this year’s Mioritmic event in Romania alongside a host of the scenes superstars. Flavio, as well as the rest of the residents at Club Supermarket, ensure that their home club will continue to be a hotspot destination and a barometer of quality minimal music and events in Switzerland for a long time to come.
