Barcelona enjoys a year round bustling underground music scene, so with the sheer amount of top events it is often hard to stand out. One such brand that has consistently hit the right notes since launching is ID. Over the years the Barcelona based team have welcomed all manner of artists and collectives to their fair city and this has only strengthened their brand as ID continues to extend their reach around the world. As well as running some of the best parties in Barcelona, ID regularly take time out of the city to reconnect with The States, South America, Dominican Republic, and of course countless other European destinations.
It is, however, their landmark 9th birthday bash that demands attention, and for very good reason. For this occasion ID will again be connecting with a group like minded heads in the form of Reverse. Having already worked together on the excellent villa party back in March which signaled the arrival of none other than Zip and Margaret Dygas as well as Dorian Paic. It is clear that quality of artist bookings and curation is right at the top of ID’s hit list and so it really goes without saying that their ninth birthday issue to be something special. Reverse also have an illustrious connection to Barcelona based events with only back in August saw them setup for the day at a previous residence of one Salvador Dali for an almighty two stage rave. This is of course just one party, but Reverse have more stamped their name on Barcelona with a consistently top slew of parties.
With this being a mutually devised party alongside Perlon and Ricardistas the prospect of who will be performing on Saturday, October 14th is truly mouth watering. Two maidens of the minimal realm that need no introduction is Sonja Moonear and Margaret Dygas and what these two masters are capable of behind the decks is truly mind blowing. With Sonja and Margaret enjoying an otherworldly synchronicity, the energy is always something else when they join together in the boothe.
Returning to Barcelona is another well known face in Perlon and Cocoon star Dorian Paic, also being co-head of the buy on sight raum…musik imprint few can question Dorian’s credentials. Joining him will be a new member of the ID family Felix HK. A relatively new member in the setup at Perlon, this young artist has shown that he is more than worthy of the gift bestowed upon him and he continues to shine wherever he lays it down. This wouldn’t be an ID x Reverse party without those all important residents that have propelled the music manifesto. Repping ID will be zrg AK and with his stamp being placed on almost every single party to date who better to provide some of the most important hours of the party than him. He will be joined by the Uruguayan pairing of Manglus and Vale Volpe as well as Maxipicu who will be repping Reverse.
Now that we have covered the music side of this immense party, we now move on to the other major part of the event and that is the venue. The action will be going down at a secret outdoor location just outside of Barcelona. Complete with an inviting swimming pool, this will be the last chance to enjoy outdoor partying before the autumn chill starts to set in and the setting could not be more perfect. With the party running from day, to night, and then into the morning hours there will be more than just music to keep you entertained. When you are not lost in the music or chilling out by the pool there will be live painting, an art exhibition, a market, and all manner of food offerings to give you all the energy you will need to dance until the sun comes up on ID’s tenth year in the game.
