Glasgow party DBT get back to business with a trio of Ba Dum Tish artists

With Scotland’s event scene taking slightly longer to reboot after lockdown it is finally time for north of the border to get back to regular parties. One such party series that we are glad to see back in action is DBT. Having fallen foul of COVID-19 their previous events were billed to feature Fabe, Cristi Cons, Herodot, Sonja Moonear and Ivan Kutz but all were sadly shelved. These missed events only cemented their passion for the sound that they are pushing north of the border. These might be near misses but the Glasgow based team have previously welcomed Voigtmann, Gene On Earth, as well as various off site gatherings.

With restrictions, finally being lifted it is time for DBT to lift off and they have a suitably high energy party prepared for the occasion. Not content with just one party DBT have in store an 15-hour day to night party that will take place within the stunning cathedral venue Cottiers on Friday, September 10th. Bringing the noise to this never before used venue is a trio of badman selectors and Ba Dum Tish artists that regularly spin produce alongside each other but have never played in Scotland before. Topping the party is main man Alec Falconer. His riotous creations and labels are well supported and respected by a broad spectrum of artists but all are very much in the category of party detonator.

Joining him will be fellow bassline botherers Enchanted Rhythms and Harry Wills. These three artists combined on the recent Sock It To Me EP and their respective work has become buy on sight. For an idea of how they combine on a record look no further than the ‘I Just Want My Life Back’ EP which we can’t help but feel is an ode to the current situation being experienced the world over. Taking care of the all-important daylight hours will be a crack team of local artists. Providing the supporting sounds will be Modula Records boss Jezz Simpson, Johnny Johnny label head modat as well as DJ BZ and Doogi will be playing a B2B set.

Not to be outdone by their English counterparts, once they are done with smashing Cottiers DBT will be taking the party off site for the afters which will take place at Room 2. Continuing the party will be Etiket label head Renzo before a secret guest takes to the decks.
