Having been in operation since their first event in Berlin in June 2017 Fake Society have made it their goal to present to the world only the very best in minimal talent from around the world. This has taken the Turkish crew to some of the best clubs and seen them hook up with like-minded collectives such as ID, The Sunday Afters, Sound Bakery and Gazette to name just a few of the parties they have rocked in such a short space of time.
Having always booked only the best artists for their parties Fake Society have invited artists such as Sublee, Priku, Cap and Barac to join the growing Fake Society family, but it is their residents that are the true stars of their shows. Having been with the team since the beginning Milan based artist Cem Ozden has been a real driving force in the Turkish minimal scene and he is now splitting his time between Turkey and Milan where he has recently launched the hugely successful Sound Bakery brand.
Another major part of the setup at Fake Society is US artist Camelia, having produced the first record on Fake Society’s own vinyl-only imprint earlier this year his track ‘Burner’ also received a hot remix from Arapu. The next resident to provide heat on the in-house label is Romanian duo Haokah, their live sets have lit up dancefloors far and wide and their ‘Sacred Mirror’ EP is a perfect snapshot of what they are capable of.
With 2019 being a resounding success for the Fake Society team they present one last dance on Saturday, December 28th to see out 2019. Taking place at minimüzikhol in Istanbul the resident team of Cem Ozden and Haokah will be in support of Fake Society debutant IULY.B. The Romanian has been on an upward trajectory for some time now and the good friend of the team will be warmly welcomed by everybody and it is highly recommended that you be there to witness what is to unfold.
