Barcelona’s underground community is bolstered by new club Les Enfants Brillants

Barcelona has always been a major clubbing destination for the more discerning music lover but there is little to detract from the recent impact COVID-19 has had on Europe’s club scene. While some have been forced to close their doors on a permanent some have doubled down with a view to resurrecting the flagging scene.

Enter stage left Álex Molina, Head of Artistic Booking and Manager of Les Enfants Brillants. Álex and his team have been working day and night to ensure that their new venue hits all the right notes with the underground. Situated in the hustle and bustle of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, steeped in history the venue will play host to a bespoke dancing locale that will accommodate 400 of the most in the know music lovers. With a firm focus on delivering quality underground electronic music in each and every event they have already gotten off to a flying start as in their first weekend of operation they have welcomed on separate nights VBX main man Ferro and French sensation Traumer and if the video’s that have lit up the various track message boards since launching last weekend LEB will prove to be a hotbed of beat based fun.

With an impressive opening weekend of bookings under their belt LEB will be looking forward to the remainder of the month which will feature Spanish artist Javier Carballo and You&Me boss Josh Baker. Future events will be keeping pace with this high standard of events and will feature the 6th anniversary of homeland party series Roots and guest Arapu, Lamache, Priku, Justwaxx will present Janeret, Giammarco Orsini, Nu Zau, Michael James and Djebali will all be making appearances shortly. Perhaps Barcelona’s busiest period – Off Week is coming up fast and of course they have a very noteworthy schedule in the works which will include showcases from French record label du jour Yoyaku and artists include Maayan Nidam, Janeret, Miroloja, and Mehdi M, Manchester’s music and arts collective Animal Crossing and Cinthie will be bringing her 803 Crystal Grooves imprint to BCN.

The club itself will feature a finely tuned L’Acoustic’s soundsystem that will offer custom sound throughout the venue as well as atmospheric lighting solutions to ensure the focus never strays too far from the dancefloor. The red coloured main room will contrast perfectly to that of the dark green of the cocktail bar offering just the right balance of shades on the night. Also, being a haven for local and up and coming talent Les Enfants Brillants are clearly making all the night noises and will be one to add to your clubbing destinations this summer.
