Apollonia return to Swizterland for a marathon session at Supermarket

Apollonia and Supermarket are two titans of contemporary club culture. The French trio have been at the centre of stripped-back house for decades. Dan Ghenacia, Shonky and Dyed Soundorom have all been releasing records since the early 2000s, before eventually starting the Apollonia label in 2012 and taking their infamous b3b sets to every corner of the globe.

Similarly, in Switzerland, the legendary Supermarket venue was established in 1998 and continues to push the standards of what a club night can look and feel like. Fitted with a bespoke sound system that is talked about far and wide, the club has welcomed the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, RPR, ZIP, and many others for years.

With the freedom of significantly extended opening hours, artists are gifted with long sets, stretching out over four, six, eight or more hours (Ion Ludvig recently played a 9-hour live) in their exquisite booth that encourages the best from artists.

It’s no surprise that giants like Apollonia and RPR are consistently returning to the club to stretch their legs and test new material and the next Grocery showcase from Supermarket provides exactly that. Starting at 23:00 and running until midday, a steady 13-hours is set for the taste-making Frenchmen on Saturday 8th February.

Grocery is a new project from Supermarket which launched last year. With the simple slogan ‘All about the vibe’, the Grocery event series allow the crew to express their tastes without compromise, creating these kind of lasting relationships with artists that return several times throughout the year.

Saturday 8th February is a great opportunity to witness the mind-blowing synergy between Apollonia. With almost three decades of experience in the booth, a sound-system of the highest calibre and seriously extended set times, you can be confident that magic will occur inside the walls of Supermarket.

Each with their own unique style and flair, the extended sets from Apollonia are globally recognised for a reason. Particularly in a venue where vinyl is a priority, the turntables are setup with great care and the booth sounds excellent, their art form really comes to life.
