Pîrvu’s new track, ‘Jump’ is being released for Meander today, as part of a 180gr double vinyl titled “1.9.3.6. EP” under catalogue code [MEANDER31].
Berlin-based label, Meander carefully selects only the tracks that outline a lasting image. Jump, sitting on B2, is one of the seven tracks this 2×12″ is offering, and lays beside A1 ‘C’est La Vie Tu Joci Parșiv’, A2 ‘1.9’, B1 ‘Test’, C ‘Simpozion’, D1 ‘Condimental’ and D2 ‘3.9’.
October is finally around and this also means that the spooky season is here, so we were used to special releases that match this time of the year and ‘1.9.3.6’ does fit the requirements.
Fresh talent, coming from Galati, Romania, Pîrvu is one of the elevated producers with a strong entrance on the scene (Sleep is Commercial crew and Rummenigge‘ Doamna EP), being not only a powerful producer but also a great DJ. Cheerful and alive, this is how we can describe him, part of the duo Apricots (the other half being Alexandra), he played not only in his country in different venues like Club Guesthouse (where he is a resident) but also abroad in Berlin, for Hoppetosse and Club der Visionaere, London, Prague, and Stuttgart.
Focusing on today’s release ‘Jump’, that is a constellation of modern house beats, managing to break the trend and catch the attention of different artists like Rhadoo, to play it and have it in their music collection.
With strong and dark resonance, it really drives the listener’s ear in a downtempo, not only for an audition but to dance as well. The unhurried vocals appear to be transitioning from different stages of the track, becoming steady alchemy of aural images.
In conclusion, Pîrvu’s dark movement is easily associated with another collector’s gem as it’s finely and precisely crafted to be another Meander’s great memorabilia.
