What started as a home for his own productions quickly evolved into to a burgeoning roster that included emerging talent. Now preparing the seventh release and this is perhaps the biggest release to date. Future Plans label boss returns to his own imprint for a three track EP that also includes a reworking by master Ion Ludwig.
We begin our look at this top release on side B where Ion Ludwig takes aim at title track ‘To Get There’. From the start Ludwig already has a fantastic selection of sonic elements playing off against each other. The sub bass tones that undulate underneath tightly woven percussion is just a few parts to Ludwig’s deep dive remix. Where the original offers a much more upfront bleepy journey and intertwined vocal samples, Ion clips them even further to great effect. The short-lived pad sounds and lighter synth notes in the original are drawn out and wrapped around Ion’s drum programming like a warm blanket.
The second of the two original tracks from Gabriele ‘Friend from Space’ centers around a crunchy drum loop that wiggles and weaves bleeps in and out of its fairly straightforward drum programming. The beauty is very much in its stripped back nature and we have great faith in it devastating dancefloors during peak hours.
