Premiere: A1 – Nico Lampariello – Sin Salida [PRYM005]

After the success of their fourth edition, which saw an action-packed VA, Argentinian imprint Pryma returns. This time, they present a solo EP from Uruguayan artist Nico Lampariello that is backed by a remix from label core artist Dani Labb.

A1 track “Sin Salida” sets the tone of the EP with a moody soundscape that is punctuated by deep grinding bass tones, break beats, and a mysterious fluted synth motif. The undulating bassline that accompanies the action really elevates the vibe to another plane entirely.

A2 “A!=C” slows the A side considerably, but the energy does not falter with the lesser BPM’s. A gnarly 303 bassline fliters its way through the track with a rib cracking snare for company. The psychedelic properties on this track seep into the remainder of the EP, but they have their foothold in A2 first of all.

Flipping over and you will find two iterations of Lampariello’s “Ritmo de Arranque”, with B1 offering the original version. Again, with a deep probing bassline being the beating heart of the action, the pin point percussion is well worked. Dani Labb appears yet again and his remix of  “Ritmo de Arranque” is another high point of the release with pumped up grooves and a more peak time vibe, Dani again shows his knack for crafting electro dancefloor destroyers.
