Archie Hamilton celebrates a welcome return to UK dance floors and a milestone 50th release on Moscow Records. The label, which sits alongside its sister Moss Co., has been in the mix for over a decade. In that time, records and digital releases alike have contributed to a haven for Archie’s own releases and remixes. Plus of course, invitations to a host of fellow artists and friends, from FUSE bossman Enzo Siragusa to the long-established likes of Argy.

Due for release tomorrow, ‘R:Evolution’ EP keeps Archie himself at the helm. Three tracks made to honour both the success of the label and the artist which is driving it. We’ve taken ‘Our Time’ Feat Molly Green on the premiere.

As is often with Archie’s own productions, the stage is set from the first second. Deep, eery synth notes shimmer in an immediate atmosphere while that signature bassline carries an instantaneous roll. Although epitomizing an energy-led dance floor groover, it’s as much about the ambience as it is the movement.

Molly’s dreamy vocal carries a short, determined chorus, warmly embraced by euphoric chords drifting through bars. Rave influence hints softly through melodies that pitch higher in the track’s progression, whilst the chorus cleverly turns to verse. There’s just enough song celebrating the vocal of the Bristol singer-songwriter, and plenty of party-starting beats.

The R:Evolution EP was recently heard in its entirety via a virtual listening party that included a first look at the music video by Conrad Gamble. Look out for the visual content, with the EP itself available to purchase on Beatport.
