Brawther and Tristan Da Cunha’s Dungeon Meat label is ready with another volume of their Weapons Of Ass Destructions series, and this time it’s bigger than ever! With nine bangers on offer, we’ve picked what might be the most banging of them all.
Our choice might surprise you, but we’ve gone with Timmy P’s “Your Parents Are Doing It Right Kev.” This track is a prime example of why we love Brawther’s sets—what seems like “regular” house music at first glance quickly turns into something special, with a HUGE bassline and perfect stomping rhythms that make the whole dancefloor want to climb the walls and go wild. Shut up and take my money.
The first record of this 2×12” kicks off with Sweely’s “This Is My Shit,” an almost perfect stripped-down banger, as you may already know – it’s my fav type of tracks. Maison Rat continues this vibe with “Cheese Tactics,” which slightly slows things down. Frederik Anthony’s “Shortbacknsides” takes us into breakbeat territory with a hint of UKG flavor, while Raw Equipment’s “Squeeze It” dives deeper into that UKG sound with a more aggressive edge.
JAMM’s “Ignition” goes straight to our “tools” folder, and M-high’s “Luff Yelling” might unlock memories of previous Dungeon Meat releases. Boss Priester’s “Today Okay” is bound to collect its fair share of DJ play videos, and the final track, “Buddy” by Horsemen, is another solid addition to the “tools” section.
This is easily the most powerful lineup on Dungeon Meat ever. Don’t snooze on it—Juno, Deejay, and Decks are ready and waiting for you.
