Premiere: B1 – Roma Khropko – Movie Maker [CRIME002]

Last year, in a few weeks in between, in different Ukrainian cities three labels with slightly similar sounds emerged from their local movements. With a strong influence of Frankfurt sound (and a few other smaller ones) and the desire to light up their local talents and promote their scenes Criminal Practice Records was born in Kyiv, Kultura Zvuka – in Kharkiv, and Hypnohouse in Lviv. Guys from Kultura Zvuka were the fastest – in 2019 they premiered also their 2nd release. And, while Hypnohouse 002 is still in the making, we can show you a part of the second compilation of CPR.

The lightest and the most joyful track of this release, the b-side opener by Roma Khropko shows us no mercy with its intensive breakbeat-house line, designed with the ability to break some legs on summer dancefloors (yes, we’re still counting on them). Massive 909 and sizzling 707 sounds that are hidden inside, are smoothly driving us through all the mood swings during six minutes of “Movie Maker” (that was planned to be released under the name “Seven or Nine”, now you understand, why).

“1995” – the closing track of the b-side was made by the Criminal Practice trio’s friend and label resident Grec, that keeps his mood consistent since his previous appearance on CPR. The A-side is completely on the CP crew here – on A1 we can hear acid phantasy “de_train” by Ghetto Sunrise and A2 is a dancefloor-friendly collab “Conservatory 1” between today’s premiere hero and another part of Criminal Practice team – Hopper Field.

At first, we were expecting the official release on 10.05, but there’s a possibility of some delays. Pre-order will be opened on Juno, Deejay, Decks, etc. soon. Don’t miss it!
