Melcure keeps the streak going with their 13th vinyl release – A.R.G.: Advanced Rhythm Generator EP, featuring Argentinian heroes Juaan on side A, and Richer on the B side. With a frequency of two to three vinyl releases per year since their inception in 2019, Melcure is one of those labels that remains consistent and delivers quality over quantity, and this record is no different.
Our premiered track “Machina Marina” on side B1 comes from Mathias Rich aka Richer, an Argentinian-born artist and head of Calypso’s Dreams label, based in Barcelona. Subtle, metallic-echo textures make their way throughout the track, and puzzling vocal samples blend smoothly with the mellow pads and machine-like animated synths — a banger in the making that has what it takes to become the next party starter.
His other track on the record on side B2 – “Einzendark (Future Mix)” has a similar allure. Yet, it’s a track that lives in its world with a darker, more goth vibe, spooky laughing voices, and a truly catchy melodic line that would make anyone get up and lose themselves on the dancefloor.
“Niñero”, the record’s first track on side A1, has Juaan as the mastermind behind it, a young rising artist hailing from Mar Del Plata, who now enjoys the fruits of his labor through the busy schedule he has lately, with gigs all over Europe and the Americas. Crisp vocal samples, low percussions, and fast kicks characterize the track. The eerie synths give it a mysterious, dark feeling.
“Mafia” on A2 has a fierce and abrupt pitch, almost as if an alarm has been set off, which creates an interesting contrast to the soothing, calming female vocals that mumble throughout the track, succeeded by vibrant bongo drums.
The A.R.G. EP’s official release date has yet to be announced, but the good news is that it can be pre-ordered on deejay.de by then.
