Steve O’Sullivan joins the Berg Audio family with a stunning reshape in the label’s fourth limited press series.
The prolific dub techno imprint has been pushing the deeper, atmospheric side of house and techno since 2016, with largely popular contributions from the likes of Janeret and the previously premiered S.A.M, shaping vast, intriguing soundscapes that are complimented gracefully by the label’s distinctive hand-drawn architecture inspired artworks from Juliah Jah.
Mosaic boss Steve O Sullivan gives R.Y & A.C’s ‘Move Dub’ a classy rework in this premiered remix. Warm, filtered chords swim low in the mix throughout the entire track, coating an airy atmosphere with a silk-like texture.
Sounds are gentle and considered, slotting between one another to a pleasing and hypnotic framework you could get lost in for hours. Featherweight hats shuffle over a serene sub-bass, working with a short clap and stunning vocals from the original looping over seven minutes of serenity.
The UK artist has been carving this soulful, dubby aesthetic since the 90s with countless releases on his Bluetrain and Mosaic imprints, alongside more recent works with Sushitech Records and Yoyaku.
Traumer brings a fresh perspective to conclude the EP, working stunning chords meandering through dubby atmospheres littered with his signature acoustic drum palate.
Over 20 vinyl and digital releases spread across the label’s catalogue exploring this deep, sultry sound with various sub-series and remix combinations featuring the likes of Barac, iO Mulen, and Silverlining.
